We can’t change an outcome without changing our behaviour

We know that with a machine if we put in the same inputs, we should get the same outputs. Change those inputs, we get a different output.

Why then, when it comes to ourselves, we often think we can short cut the system to create a different outcome with the same inputs?

I have seen this in our gym business, 105Fitness. People want to change the outcome (health), so they need to start with their behaviours. Be the kind of person who turns up to the gym for workouts even when they don’t feel like it; the person who choses the salad instead of the chips; the person who prioritises sleep, instead of binge-watching Netflix all evening.

In order to change the outcome, focus on changing our behaviour.
